Anonymous SPRING 2007 Conference Question

REPLY: This is yet another demonistration of the need to consult with our local code officials early on and avoid unnecessary rejection statements that officials are normally unwilling to recind. Remember, code reviewers are people just like the rest of us, they are more inclined to approve something that they are familiar with and reject what they do not fully understand. So help educate them early on, get them comfortable with your design.
Remember, helping them helps you.
