REPLY: Aside fron the volune of equipment what are your functional needs? Do you need just a database, graphics, require realtime monitoring, interface to CAD programs, automatic hooks into financial reporting systens to track dates of benificial use and dates of decommissioning?
There are far too many programs out there to list. As with any good program a clear and detailed scope will get you the best buy. There are a hundred providers out there that claim they have the best asset management system but which one has what YOU need?
Write a scope document of your needs, issue an RFP then test before you buy.
